and then there were

muffins.  I already had them on the brain when I bought blueberries yesterday so I guess I didn't really need an excuse to make them this morning.  Here they are fresh out of the oven. 
Don't worry about all that stuff that's spilling over the muffin tin.  I know they look strange and not like your average muffin and that's because these have a crumb/streusel topping.  I know they also look messy but they actually fall right out of the pan.  If the overflow has an overcooked piece just break it off.  If not, crunch away at the sugary topping.  Here's one out of the tin and on my plate.
Yum.  I actually added about 1/2 a cup more blueberries than what the recipe called for.  Here it is cut open, just before it was smeared with butter and disappeared.
I love blueberry muffins.
