we've been busy around

here.  Eric's packing up to move to Houston.

I'm a little bit jealous.  I mean I like it here in the smaller towns.  It's quiet, no traffic, slower pace, you know, stuff like that.  But let's be real, Houston's my hometown.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it.  Oh well, it's always an option but for now I'm enjoying it here.

I finally got around to using the rest of that pie crust I talked about the other day.  I used some of it for a few hand pies and the rest for a cobbler.

I think we all prefer the hand pies.  I only made five and they didn't last long.  These were apple but Eric requested cherry for next time.
ps - I hate cherries.

I also went to the Cockrell Butterfly Center yesterday morning for a capture crawl.  Here are a couple of those images.

Is it just me or are these guys turning and looking at my camera?  I'm pretty sure they are.

That's all for today.  If I stay still for too long I might just take a nap.

meanwhile, back in angleton

there's none of this going on

still nothing...

Here's a couple from a while back. We were at Glenwood Cemetery. I played around with them so Eric would have something for myspace stuff.
I actually went out and tried to find something interesting today. I picked Dodo up and we drove around. After seeing a lot of nothing and as we were pulling back in to West Columbia, Dodo pointed at my camera and said, "You didn't do your camera". Maybe I'll try again later... or, maybe tomorrow I'll find something and be able to do my camera.

over the weekend

we rode a few rides. First of all, as most know, I don't like rides. For some reason the roller coaster didn't look that bad when we got there so I bought a ticket. During the ride I quit screaming, clinched my teeth, endured all the banging around and swore I would never do it again. Eric likes rides as much as I do... yeah, we're tons of fun at amusement parks. Cosme, on the other hand, loves rides. This explains why he was the only one to get on the Drop Zone. See the pictures?
I'll let you figure out what happens next. Two seconds later he's back at our level and hanging on to his head. So, we headed over to the Cadillac Bar and had some fajitas. That was so much better than the roller coaster. See Eric in the next picture? I don't think he's fully recovered here. Three diet cokes and a serving of outside skirt later, he was much better.
Then we left.

jazz band had

a concert the other night. They sounded really good and I wish they'd have more. Eric had a solo for Born to be Wild. My pictures were pretty blurry but here are a few.
The girl singing is a senior that wrote the song the band is performing.
After the show.
I said they were blurry.
