the other night we

went here to see Adler's Appetite. It's a band with Steven Adler of Guns n Roses. Anyway, Eric really likes Guns n Roses and since they were playing all Guns n Roses, I thought it would be fun. The first band came on and they weren't anything great. They just roared and screamed... boring. The second band came on and they were pretty good. They're the Texas Hippie Coalition. They were a little raunchy and there were times when I wish I wasn't standing their with Eric but we did enjoy their music. It was fun. They're coming back to Houston in July and I know he wants to see them again.

sometimes i really

appreciate the not-so-finer things in life.
By not-so-finer I mean Waffle House. By really appreciate I mean I love Waffle House.

i guess they

were so bored they had to find something to do.
Did they think wigs would help?

what kind of

snake is this? I don't know anything about snakes. Scratch that. I know snakes slither and some can kill you. Okay, I lied. I know two things about snakes. Now that I've cleared that up, I'm trying to find out what this is. It was in my garage one afternoon last week. I guess it was about 10-12 inches long. The neighbor thought it looked too big to be a grass snake. Now I need some feedback.

Oh yeah, I know it's totally out of character for me to be up this late. I'll admit I was asleep by 9:30 but I have an idea stuck in my head. Instead of lying there trying to not think about my idea, I had to get up and check some stuff out. Now that I've researched and doodled a little, I'm expecting to get sleepy again. But, looking at this creature I just posted is sure to make what little sleep I get before 6:00 an uneasy sleep. I really hate snakes.

there's a new

link over to the left under More Stuff.  Check it out.

i planted a

gardenia bush (or whatever the correct terminology is) last year. We had one by the front door in Houston and I loved to smell it.
This thing is two feet tall... max. I went out a couple of days ago and it had one bloom.... one freaking bloom. I had to get down on my hands and knees to smell the one bloom my plant had to offer. Not really what I was going for by putting it there but whatever. The next day there were at least a dozen flowers on it. I don't know where they came from but now if I could only get that thing to grow a little.

I've looked back over the last few posts and there is a lot of nature stuff going on. I'll try to do something about that. I guess I'm caught up in some sort of a nature funk. Well, tomorrow Cindy has court. I told her she needed to quit writing hot checks all over town... just kidding. (Do you seriously think Cindy is capable of that?) No really, Cindy has to go to court for Jake's stolen boat so I'm going to stay with Dodo. Maybe I'll find something else to snap while spending time in Dodo's world... or maybe not.

as if the last

post didn't have enough birds. Here are a few more.
