looks like

we're not the only ones lacking patience.

the hair,

the guitar...not much has changed in the last 10 years.

oh no...

I've started playing with one of my Christmas presents. (Yes, I know Christmas is a week away...leave me alone.) Until the thrill wears off, don't be surprised if something like this pops up.It's been a few years since I've had a scanner. I finally broke down and asked for a super-duper printer with all the frills. Well, I wasn't actually thinking about myself. Research papers are becoming more frequent and our other printer is massive and a pain in the butt. I thought I'd get this grand contraption so I could have some fun too. On that note, let the fun begin!

Oh, and don't think I'm going down alone. First victim: Lauren.

speaking of delicious...

lately I've been hooked on breakfast tacos. I've stopped several times recently at Takeria la Rosa (yes, I know taqueria isn't spelled with a K). I was in such a bad mood yesterday, I thought I'd start today off with a taco. There aren't usually a lot of cars here so I wondered if my regular order of a potato, bacon and cheese taco stands out. (I do like eggs...just not in a tortilla.) So, half embarrassed, I pulled up to the window and ordered. I got my order and pulled away. Once on the highway, I grabbed the taco out of the bag and realized they probably do recognize me by now...and appreciate my business.Once I got home I admired the smiley face and dug in. I know, you're probably thinking how a taco with potato, bacon and cheese is loaded with calories. Get over it. I did drink a DIET Dr. Pepper with it.Doesn't it look good? Their hot sauce is pretty good. I can smell the garlic in it.So as I stood in the kitchen eating my taco while dancing to the Texas Tornados on my iPod, I could tell my mood was already better.

please, if you

talk to me or write me, please...PLEASE don't use the word "delicious" unless you're referring to food. Delicious and yummy are the two most overused words lately. I'm so tired of hearing children, crafts and other "cute" things referred to as delicious and yummy. Let's join forces and stop this annoying trend. Wouldn't that be delightful?

i spy something

furry under my tree.
I don't know why the cats love sitting under the tree. They really haven't messed with it too much. I was afraid they'd try to climb it but I haven't seen anything like that...yet. As long as they stick to chilling under the tree, I'll be okay.

i don't like

snow. One of the things I like about this area is that it only snows once every few years. Guess what. It started snowing this afternoon. This right here is fine, as long as it doesn't keep up much longer.
Check out the little planter on the bottom right corner of the picture. That's my basil and thyme...wait, that was my basil and thyme.

does the cold

weather make everyone's sense of style go out the window or is it just me?

It started with my pastel colored gown. I was chilly so I added Cosme's plaid shirt. My legs needed some cover so I threw on a pair of jeans. Cosme was running a little late so I went outside to get his truck going. Ouch, that wind hurt. I grabbed Eric's jacket next. I continued on with my morning routine and stopped for a minute to realize what all I was wearing. (At this point I had already taken off my black flats.) Not only did it not match but only half of it was mine. Just think, I actually considered wearing this to take Eric to school.

2008

Christmas party pictures by Eric. Yes, the picture's crooked. Eric was goofing off (imagine that).Oh wait, I had to move my hair so you could see my earrings. Aren't they huge? Check out the eye makeup. It's rare for me to cake it on like that. Christmas parties and Halloween are the two exceptions. What do you think about that tie? I picked it out. I love it. We match well, don't you think?

just a picture

from the weekend.
