or Mexico? I can't quite decide which would be better, you know, just in case. You do realize there's an election next week, right? I can put up with a lot of crap, but I'm pretty sure the wrong ringleader of this circus will be too much even for me.
Please go vote for the right guy - I did last week.

of the house yesterday so I grabbed my camera and went for a drive. I ended up at Quintana beach. Anybody ever done donuts in a Mercedes? LOL, only kidding, I played it safe since one of my biggest beach fears is soft sand.
It looks so different out there. I don't know if there's some sort of major development going on (Palms of Quintana luxury vacation rentals...uh, not likely) or if Ike had something to do with it. Everything looks flattened. This is a road leading to the beach. A while back I took pictures of Eric with his guitar under a pier that used to be immediately to the left of the beach entrance. Now it's gone. I really don't know what the deal is here. There were a lot of piles of debris. By debris, I don't mean limbs and such, more like house remnants. Here's one example.
Now, I know this isn't a pile of "debris", but I liked the way it looked. It was on the side of the road. I have to admit though, that would be kind of cool...sitting back in a recliner on the beach drinking a coke. It felt good outside and I would have stuck around longer had I not been alone. (You know how scared I get.)
I also saw this guy when I drove down to the jetties.

I don't understand the whole mum thing but I just go with it.

What brought this up? There was a movie on this morning about the Village People. No, I didn't watch it...but I did have it on.
