Doesn't everyone use a cell phone to pull weeds?

lunch in galveston

Eric and I took Dodo to meet up with Lauren and Chris for lunch in Galveston. We tried the Mosquito Cafe and it was pretty good. Afterwards we strolled down the strand to grab some candy.

I need some help with this:
Melanie took her son and three of his friends to the rec. center to swim (two of which are spending the night). Two of the boys got kicked out so everyone needed to be picked up (4.5 hours early). Melanie is at home and in addition to the four boys, she is listening to music from the kitchen computer, a guitar being played at a decent level on the amp and Guitar Hero 2. If a=a glass of ice and b=a can of Classic Coke, find x to the following equation:

a+b+x=ahh, much better
update: To make it worse, two boys are singing Journey (out of the blue because it's not like it's playing in my house). Eric tells them, "Dude, Def Leppard sucks." Now the two break into a soulful sing-along..."pour some sugar on me..." (yeah, I hope you know the rest because I'm stopping there!)

SRV
So we finally made it to Stevie Ray Vaughan's grave (somewhere Eric's been wanting to go for a while now). It was pretty neat (but then I've always liked cemeteries). Most people leave guitar picks or purple flowers at the gravesite. Eric doesn't normally use a pick but we did have strings in the car so he left a guitar string.
I always assumed this cemetery was going to be hard to find and in some unfamiliar and hard-to-get-to area of Dallas. Wrong! It's right off the highway and we've driven by it numerous times!
mpd sucks

So, I'm driving through the major metropolis of Maypearl in what I believe is a 45mph zone. Wrong. Barney Fife pulls me over to let me know it's a 30mph zone. (I was actually about 10 feet from the 45 mph sign.) I live 5 hours away, totally honest with him and haven't had a ticket in about 10 years but guess what...the scumbag changed that. That's right, I've fallen victim to mpd. I wanted to call the jerk all sorts of names, but his business card reading that he is the Sargeant of Maypearl PD tops any cut-down I could come up with. Wouldn't you agree?
So, today I need to take Grandma to have something notarized. I am considering taking her to another town just to avoid giving this place any extra money...even if it is only $4.00
